Antonia Rossi Charnes was born in Rome (Italy) in 1978, where she lives until 1988, when she arrives in Chile. In 1996 he entered the movie career. When finalizing he realizes a Master's degree in Visual Arts. He has worked as an artist and audiovisual director since 1999. He directed four shorts of fiction and three experimental documentaries. In 2002, he joined the O-inc art collective, performing performance videos together with various exhibitions inside and outside the country.
The project that has been developing in recent years, through experimental cinema and plastic arts, is understood as a research that works on images, more particularly on the quality of these to create alternate time to those proposed by the common reality, as well as divergences and unpredictable journeys. Therefore, it is necessary to explain that, for each work carried out over time, invariably, will result in a natural reaction: the manifestation of what we call memory, in terms both of updating the perception and of its archiving function .
In practice, to carry out his work, he has tried different forms of research, not only in the languages mentioned above, but also in the articulation of resources that is repeated, as they are, the compilation , the intervention and the recomposition of own and foreign archives: newspapers of life, photographs, videos, drawings, sounds, collages, which will constitute the imaginary fabric that will cover. For the collection of these materials, it will initiate a documentary process, which will be formalized in the follow-up of the experiences, memories and imagination of the group of people with whom they will work, giving rise through this which will eventually become a movie.
