My way of earth
- Discovery Since childhood, I have been attracted by artisitic expression, especially painting. For 10 years I discovered the mud. This decisive encounter in the world of ceramics captivated me from the beginning. Contact with the land has allowed me to express my creativity in a relationship of trust and exchange with her. Creating a piece means finding out how to materialize as harmoniously as possible in accordance with her own imaginary vision of the piece through the plasticity of the mud.
- Inspiration In my trips to Japan I have been able to discover the artistic wealth of this country and to admire the fantastic work of Japanese potters. They represent an inexhaustible universe of ideas and techniques for me. I find essentially my sources of inspiration in the elements of nature, the landscapes, the sea, the trees, the plants the Earth ....
- Creation of unique pieces. The desire to discover new techniques, to experience present textures in nature, also favors the desire to develop unique objects rich in mysteries of sense and emotions. The only, the unusual, the diversity are for my key words that vibrate, they speak to me and I try to transmit to all my creations. Although I have learned the "classic" turning my focus on the work of mud and the creation of pieces is mainly oriented towards slow, manual, printing, neriage, plates, molded mud and mud clay techniques This way getting in touch with the earth allows me to create original and natural forms.
- The Earth and the Fire I like to work on the sandstone because of its resistance and porcelain because of its delicacy and its demands. From the first contact with these excellent materials, the natural one of the gesture adapts and then it becomes evident, the emotions and the ideas appear leaving a great part to the spontaneity. The true fire conductor ends the way being the more important in the process of creation. The crucial moment of the openness of the oven constitutes an instant rich of emotions: first of all, the time stops during the first glance towards the piece that has just been born.
