Juan David Galido (Bogotá, 1992) is a graduate in Fine Arts and Design at the Massana School. Currently studying the Program of Independent Studies of MACBA. His artistic projects are articulated through performance, video and installation. Within its CV, there are numerous national and international exhibitions and facilities. He is interested in exploring how social and global dynamics are evident in the here and now of an action, in his body (body of being) and in the ephemeral group that is shaped in an artistic action. His work articulates within the concept of symbolic violence. Pierre Bourdieu defines it as a relationship where he indirectly exercises violence against the rulers who are complicit in the domination to which they are subject. Explore beliefs, dynamics, customs, and ideas that contain replication strategies of power. It seeks to demonstrate certain dynamics of paradoxical freedom by placing itself in different coordinates in front of the authority of power: authority, vigor, prerogative or the same achievement, based on the relationship of a group or community. Their projects are activated with actions in the form of performances - their visible body - or in scripted controlled dynamics in which the public participates.
