The integrity of my work stems from the binomial Humanities - Fine Arts. I understand collage as a discursive and disruptive medium, through which I build new units of meaning derived from a reflexive selection, contextualization and re-contextualization of materials inherent in our visual culture. The engine that drives my work is based on the richness and complexity of language per se, present in a literary work or fragment, in a definition, in a concept. Thus, each piece is the graphic result of the synergies generated between text and image, as they become permeable to one another. Each work gives way to a symbolic place in which there is an unprecedented scenario, which, although fictitiously apparent, is rooted in a reality sustained by both the original text and the images selected to represent it. The used plastic language interweaves text and graphic material (of origin and disparate chronology) with materials such as wood, capable of erecting delimited spaces that evoke structures loaded with meaning, and the movement of the threads, spectator towards symbolic places. Places that, nevertheless, remain linked to a reality capable of questioning the fine line that separates it from other alternate possibilities.
